RULES
AND PRIVACY POLICY
- You
must be an Arizona resident to enter and win.
- Entrants
must complete the contest registration form and provide valid
contact information, including email and phone.
- Entries
will be judged by a panel on the basis of Originality, Environmental
Impact, Technical Accuracy, number of YouTube hits, and Entertainment. The Alliance reserves the right to not select a winner if
none of the entries received are judged to sufficiently meet the above criteria.
- The
video must be your own original creation. No
copyrighted music, video, images, or logos
may be used in the video. We
cannot use your video on our website or on TV broadcasts if you use
copyrighted music or video material that you do not own!
- Your
video must not infringe on any third party rights.
- Videos
previously produced for compensation are not eligible.
- The
winners will be required to provide a copy of the original video file to
receive an award.
- By
submitting a video to this contest, you grant to the Alliance a
royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display and
perform publicly and otherwise use, and authorize others to use,
your video for any educational purpose throughout the world and in
any media.
- The
Alliance reserves the right to make your video available to the
general public from its Web site and to distribute it to
environmental groups and any other organizations interested in
showing it for educational purposes, including, but not limited to,
on Internet sites, at conferences and events, on television, and
other media outlets.
- The
Alliance will disqualify any entries it deems to contain offensive material.
- If
your video is chosen as a finalist, you will be required to submit a Release Form
signed by each person
appearing in the video, and his/her guardian if he/she is a minor.
- Entries
must be received by Sunday, March 21, 2010. Judging results will
be posted on this Alliance webpage in April 2010. Finalists may be invited to participate in
an Awards Ceremony.
- Entrants
must agree to contest terms and conditions, or the agreement of a
legal guardian must be obtained if the entrant is a minor.
- Keep
it clean. No violence, profanity, sex, or direct attacks on
individuals or organizations.
- SAFETY:
Safety is a primary consideration. Select an age-appropriate topic.
Youth 17 years old or under must have parental or guardian
supervision. Videos involving unsafe practices will be
automatically disqualified.
PRIVACY POLICY
Personal
information collected from contestants will not be sold. The
information collected for this contest will only be used to contact
video submitters in direct relation to the contest. The contest
winners’ names will be announced publicly at the Awards Ceremony
& Film Festival. Any videos posted to YouTube will be
subject to YouTube's
privacy policy.
